Mason Greenwood is starting to get a fresh start outside of Manchester United.
The forward, who is owned by Manchester United, is now on loan at Getafe in La Liga, where he has been playing well lately. After 11 league games this season, he presently has two goals and three assists.
Last week he scored his best one of the lot. His strike against Almeria was labelled a ‘goal of the season contender‘.
He faced Las Palmas this week in another encounter he was looking to continue his fine form. Here’s how he got on
Mason Greenwood will not be too happy with his performance against Las Palmas.
He was on the losing side this time around, Las Palmas won 2-0 with goals in the 43rd minute and the 92nd securing the win for the home side.
Greenwood did nearly score a beautiful goal. In the 13th minute, he picked up the ball on the right wing and did some silky stepovers to cut inside to a position where he’s, in the commentator’s words, ‘most dangerous‘.
He then unleashed a left-footed shot which went inches wide of the the post. Undoubtedly his best moment of the game.
It was always going to be an uphill struggle in the second half, with Greenwood’s teammate Olmar Alderete sent off in the 48th minute for a seriously reckless challenge.

He was relatively quiet for the rest of the game, with chances for Getafe few and far between. The result meant they were handed their fourth loss of the season and sit 10th place in La Liga.
