The seventh overall selection in the 2010 NBA Draught decided to sell his residence in New Orleans. Around this time, Monroe was preparing for a life abroad, so it made sense for him to sell the property, which he had purchased in 2013 for $837,000. According to Arun Sharma of The Sports Rush, it was unsurprising that the 2019 first overall selection took the house away from Monroe after the Pelicans selected Williamson.
