The name pretty much tells you what it is. Although its official name is Caño Cristales, Colombia’s Rainbow River is such a beautiful show of color that you have to see it to believe it. This liquid rainbow is full of red, yellow, purple, and green colors.
It flows powerfully through the Serranía de la Macarena National Park, and the colors change depending on the light. The Macarenia clavigera plants that grow along the riverbed give the area a lot of red color, and the many waterfalls make what is already a stunning sight even better.
