The faraway Lofoten Islands in Norway are a great place to take pictures because they have soft winter light and beautiful mountain scenery rising from the water.
Northwest Norway is home to the Lofoten Islands, which are above the Arctic Circle. The islands are a great place to take pictures of landscapes because they have deep fjords, rough peaks, sandy beaches, and cute red fishing houses.
Especially in February, when the soft winter light makes things look nice.
To get some great pictures of this amazing part of Norway’s wildness, I rented a car and drove around the Lofoten Islands for 10 days with my camera. I looked for the Northern Lights, found hidden beaches, and hiked through deep snow.
Winter in Lofoten is great for shooting because there isn’t much daylight and sunrises and sunsets seem to last forever. Seeing the aurora and white, snow-capped hills all the time is just a bonus.
Feel free to look through these travel photos and a short film I made while I was in Norway’s Lofoten Islands.
I hope that my pictures of Lofoten Island make you want to go there yourself!
