In Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo displays his Jacob & Co. and receives a “shower” of accolades.
Famous watchmaking and luxury jewellery brand Jacob & Co. recently opened its largest-ever location in Saudi Arabia, and soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo graced the event by wearing his newest masterpiece of a wristwatch.
The Portuguese football legend was present at the opening ceremony, which took place in Riyadh last week. He used Instagram to show off his newest purchase, an emerald-hued watch called “Heart Of CR7 Baguette.” Ronaldo posted a photo of himself with Jacob Arabo, the creative director of this well-known luxury company, with the Άeveɑℓ.
At a whopping $117,000, this “Heart Of CR7 Baguette” watch is one of four new watch styles that Ronaldo himself inspired.
With a sapphire crystal caseback that showcases Ronaldo wearing his signature number 7 jersey, a compelling skeleton barrel cover that resembles a soccer ball, and a diamond-adorned bezel, this watch is sure to turn heads. It also has a brilliant coloured crown.
Longtime fan of the brand Ronaldo had previously received a watch from Jacob & Co. set with sparkling green gemstones.
Situated on Olaya Street, a major artery in Riyadh, the large new Jacob & Co. store occupies more than 220 square metres, or around 2,400 square feet.
The company, which has boutiques on every continent, is about to open at least ten more this year, including ones in Bahrain, Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Macao.
In addition to his ambassadorial position, Cristiano Ronaldo’s visit is related to his recent and much-discussed admission into the Saudi Pro League.
Another football superstar, Lionel Messi, is allegedly being courted by this league with a record-breaking $400 million contract offer. This compensation may even surpass Ronaldo’s high reported income of over $200 million.
A recent release by Jacob & Co. that made headlines featured an incredible $20 million yellow diamond watch—a symbol of grandeur fit for billionaires. As rumours about Messi’s future swirl, everyone is waiting to see if, should his involvement with the Saudi Pro League come to pass, he will take the chance to claim it as his own.
