Rasmus Hojlund was unable to break his duck in the Premier League in Man United’s 3-0 loss to Bournemouth.
He was actually benched in the game, but came on in the second half to replace Anthony Martial.
Shortly before the Cherries’ second goal in the 67th minute, Hojlund found himself in a serious goal-scoring situation.
After a nice, flowing attack, Antony had played Diogo Dalot through inside the box.
.
Hojlund positioned himself perfectly in the middle and made himself available for Dalot to pass to.
.
However, the Portuguese defender went the selfish way to try and score himself from an awkward angle and hit the side-netting.
Hojlund was seen fuming at his teammate, telling him that he could’ve easily passed it to him to score.
The Danish forward has not been able to score a goal in 12 Premier League matches for Man United.
Fans expressed sympathy for Rasmus Hojlund after this situation:
The first person said: “You ever wonder why Hojlund can never get a PL goal”
The second person continued: “Not even one chance created for him it’s an absolute disgrace”
A third person asserted: “Because we haven’t played for years with a recognized striker it’s as if we forgot what needs to be done”
A fourth person objected: “If AWB plays as a right back, there’s guaranteed he will always cross the ball. He’s the only unselfish player we have in the squad. Another player that will also pass the ball is also at home playing PS5. “
