KING Salah: Clinching the Standard Chartered Player of the Month Award for November

Premier League club Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been named November’s Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month.

After dominating a fan poll on Liverpoolfc.com, the Egyptian has won the trophy for three consecutive months.

Over teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz, Salah retained the trophy after scoring three goals and assisting on another in six outings throughout the period.

He told Liverpoolfc.com, “It’s good to win this award, always,” when accepting the trophy at Tuesday’s AXA Training Centre. Scoring goals and helping the team win are, without a doubt, the top priorities. To me, that is paramount.

After scoring twice in a 3-0 Premier League win against Brentford at Anfield, Salah set up Alexander-Arnold for the game-winning goal in a 1-1 draw away to Manchester City.

In the 4-0 victory over LASK at the end of the month, he scored a penalty kick goal to bring his total for the club to 199 and help them qualify for the Europa League round of 16.

If pressed for his favorite November experience, the No. 11 chose to reminisce about the day he and his team scored a goal to tie a game against City after falling behind 1-0.

“Scoring goals also is good but in that month it could be that assist for Trent.”

Mohamed Salah celebrates on a throne after scoring his 200th Liverpool goal.

With three straight Premier League wins under Jürgen Klopp’s belt, Salah and the Reds’ hot streak has carried over into December.

In the meantime, last weekend’s strike against Crystal Palace made the Egyptian the sixth player in LFC history to score 200 goals for the club in all competitions.

Getting 200 goals for a major club is an incredible accomplishment. Salah expressed his happiness about it. Following the game, my family and I joined the rest of the team in a brief celebration. I am really happy about it.

According to him, all they need to do is believe in themselves and put in the necessary training, and they will be able to accomplish great things this season. All we need to do is play the games and keep winning; there’s no need to put undue pressure on ourselves.

This week, our attention must be solely on the Europa League; after that is over, we will give consideration to [Manchester] United. Going game by game is the way to go.
