Latest on Alexis Mac Allister’s Injury: Updates on the Talented Player’s Road to Recovery

After hurting himself in last Wednesday’s Premier League victory over Sheffield United, the Liverpool No. 10 has been out since.

Not only was Mac Allister omitted from Thursday’s Europa League match against Union SG, but he will also sit out Sunday’s match at Anfield against United.

In his press conference before Union SG, Klopp discussed the midfielder and said, “I am obviously not a doctor but they explain it to me pretty much every day why he is not ready and it is obviously a bit more tricky than we thought in the first moment.” That was before Union SG.

As soon as the other boy landed on his knee, the stud drove through the muscle and into the bone. We must now patiently await the bone’s healing and Macca’s ability to manage the excruciating discomfort.

We need to make sure nothing occurs from an infection standpoint, because Macca is actually a very tough man. It is of utmost importance.

This has never happened to one of my guys before, but here we are. My wish is that it won’t take forever; I’d prefer to say it’s on a day-to-day basis, but then it would appear as though he could be able to play in the next game, even though he isn’t really prepared.

We will have to wait and watch if he makes significant progress in the following three or four days.
