For Real Madrid, Rodrygo has been playing brilliantly lately, scoring eight goals and dishing out five assists in his last nine games. He was unable to increase his total against Alaves on Thursday, though, as Los Blancos emerged victorious in the end.
Rodrygo appeared with a suspected knee injury, raising concerns that he would soon join the ranks of Real Madrid’s already extensive list of injured players following Lucas Vazquez’s dramatic winner.
When he addressed the media after the game, Carlo Ancelotti allayed these concerns; however, Marca has revealed that Rodrygo will have tests on Friday to ascertain the severity of the injury.
If Rodrygo were to suffer a catastrophic knee injury—following Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and David Alaba—it would be disastrous for Real Madrid. Officials at the club will be hoping for positive results from these exams.
