Girona’s season has started off quite well. They are currently tied for second position in the league with Real Madrid after 18 matchdays. Their consistent goal-scoring ability has contributed significantly to their success; Artem Dovbyk, a Ukrainian striker, has led the attack excellently.
The 26-year-old took over for Taty Castellanos when he joined Girona in the summer, and he has contributed significantly to their success thus far. He has amassed 11 goals and four assists in 17 La Liga games.
Understandably, Dovbyk’s performances with Girona are generating more and more attention. According to Ruben Uria, Atletico Madrid is keen to sign him in the summer.
Dovbyk would be a fantastic addition to Atletico Madrid, enhancing their already potent striker lineup. It won’t be simple for Los Rojiblancos, though, since Girona is reluctant to let him go and money is unlikely to be an issue moving forward because of the upcoming European qualifying.
