Jesse Lingard is working hard to train in hopes of finding a new destination after more than 6 months of unemployment.
Nottingham Forest announced their farewell to Lingard after the 2022/23 season. The English midfielder quickly became a free agent. After just one disappointing season, Lingard was no longer signed by the parent team.
From that time until now, the former Man Utd star has been completely unemployed. He has been “sitting around” for more than 6 months.
When the mid-season transfer window was about to open, Lingard was determined to train and get back in shape to be ready to wait for an offer.
In October, Lingard spent about six weeks training with West Ham before flying to Saudi Arabia for a trial at Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq club. However, he was not accepted.
Before that, Lingard had an extremely successful loan period with West Ham. But when returning to Man Utd in the 2021/22 season, Lingard was not used before leaving Old Trafford on a free basis.
Lingard was once a great player in England. Now at the age of 31, Lingard has to start again from zero.
However, this player is still aware of the need to concentrate on training to return to playing football soon.
January 2024 is an important time for Lingard to escape unemployment.
Lingard’s talent is undeniable. However, the problem is that he rarely shines for long periods of time.
Currently, it is unclear which team wants Lingard.
