Klopp, along with Bredan Rodgers, attended the Mallorca ATP tennis tournament in Santa Ponsa last year, fuelling rumours that the German had bought a holiday home on the island. Initially, it was rumoured that he was looking to purchase in the Andratx area but in the end he went for Santa Ponsa, buying a home which is within walking distance of the Mallorca Country Club.

German Jürgen Klopp, 55, bought a dream home in Santa Ponca this week for 3.9 million euros. He is the coach of Liverpool. The house is on 5,000 square metres of land and has a swimming pool and well-kept grounds. The living area is 537 square metres and is built around a central courtyard. There are 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Guests have their own room.

In Mallorca, Jürgen Klopp just got the keys to his brand-new home. It faces south and has a wide view of the Serra de Tramuntana. The house is close to the Santa Ponca Golf Club. A group of sculptures and other works of art can be found in the garden. There are also tall palm trees in the Washington style and a swimming pavilion next to the pool for the comfort of families.

In April of last year, Klopp was asked to choose which Spanish team he would like to lead. And the coach wanted to honour the island he loves so much. He has been there every summer since he stayed at the Son Vida hotel with Borussia Dortmund in 2010. That “Barcelona, Madrid, and Atlético are three great clubs,” he said. “I could fit in with any of them, but I do not have much time and my Spanish is awful.” It could be at Real Mallorca. “At least to live would be nice,” he said with a smile.
