Conor Bradley, a teenage full-back, would probably “fall asleep in the dressing room,” according to Jurgen Klopp’s jest following his team’s 2-1 victory against Fulham.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The 20-year-old turned in a strong performance as the Reds overcame a deficit to win the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield. The right-back’s performance thrilled the German manager, who also commended his character.
WHAT KLOPP SAIDAccording to Klopp, “he will probably fall asleep in the dressing room,” Sky Sports reported. “Amazing, such a character and boy. Outstanding. What a young man. Excellent potential, genuine talent, and wonderful character. Everyone likes, respects, and wants him to succeed, so he’s on the right team.”THE BIGGER PICTUREAfter making his senior debut for the Merseyside club the previous season, Bradley’s injury sidelined him for the first part of the current campaign. However, he has made five appearances since rejoining the team in November, including the most recent FA Cup victory over Arsenal.
WHAT NEXT FOR CONOR BRADLEY?
Despite making nine first-team appearances for Liverpool, Bradley is still waiting on the first Premier League game of his career. He will have to wait a while before he can get a run out in the top flight, though, with Liverpool next in action on January 21 when they take on Bournemouth.
