Erik ten Hag gave a long report on the team’s news before Manchester United’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Twelve first-team players were ruled out of Monday night’s match against Wigan Athletic due to illness, injury, or overseas duty.

Ten Hag has been anticipating January for a very long time in order to have our mobility issues resolved. The squad appears to be getting stronger in preparation for their matchup with Ange Postecoglou’s squad on Sunday.

Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro are both looking forward to coming back after being hurt in September and November, respectively. Luke Shaw, on the other hand, has missed our last three games with a small injury.

The manager seemed to imply that all three could play this weekend at Old Trafford.

Erik told reporters on Friday, “This week in training, Licha Martinez is training, Casemiro is training, and Luke Shaw is training.”

“So, players are coming back, and they will be picked for Sunday.”

All three of Amad, Anthony, and Christian Eriksen were not able to make it to the DW Stadium, but they are all ready to play again.

“Sure, Antony. Eriksen was sick last week, but he will be back. Antony will come back. “I thought you said longer-term and unexpected, but they will come back too,” Erik said.

“Then Amad will come back. We have more options in the squad right now to choose a starting eleven and make the bench better.

Last month, Victor Lindelof had surgery to fix a problem with his hip. He and Mason Mount are still getting back to full-match fitness.

Tyrell Malacia is another player who is almost ready to play again after missing the whole first half of the season.

The boss said, “Mason Mount will come back, but it will take a little longer.”

“There are more. Tyrell Malacia will also come back, and Victor Lindelof is on his way back, but it will take a few weeks.”

“It takes time to get fit for a game again.”

Although Harry Maguire hasn’t played since the Champions League match against Bayern Munich, Ten Hag stated earlier this week that Harry Maguire “may” be able to return. Anthony Martial will not be able to play against Spurs.

Regarding Andre Onana, Ten Hag made no new revelations. He was seen working on Thursday, but he is supposed to leave soon to play for Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations.

Sofyan Amrabat is a different Moroccan player who is competing.
