It comes after Alfredo Pedulla reported that Henderson was at an “advanced stage” in talks to seal a loan transfer to Juventus.

However, Juventus boss Max Allegri is said to “approve” of the player, with Henderson the club’s number one January target.

Club chiefs will also be pleased to learn that the cash-stricken Serie A outfit will only pay a fraction of the midfielders wages.

Henderson earns a whopping £692,000 a week, or £36milllion a year, with current club Al-Ettifaq.

But the Old Lady will only pay £1.3m of his salary to complete the bumper deal.

Henderson originally left the Premier League and Europe behind in the summer to link up with former Reds team-mate Steven Gerrard in a £12m move.

But having failed to score and seeing the club go on a nightmare run that has left them 8th in the Saudi Pro League, the England international now wants to leave.

Last week, SunSport disclosed that Henderson had informed a few teammates that he felt the move had been a grave mistake and that he wished to go back to England.

There were rumors that he was being watched by several European teams, including Celtic, Ajax, and Bayern Munich, in addition to Newcastle, Chelsea, and a return to Liverpool.

But it appears that Juventus will prevail in the competition to sign the former Sunderland player.

Prem players Joel Matip and Joe Gomez are said to be on Al-Ettifaq’s summer shortlist of possible replacements, which they apparently drew up quickly.
