Former Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte left Cristiano Ronaldo in awe after scoring from inside his own half against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.
Al Nassr are thrashing Inter Miami in a friendly that had been billed as Ronaldo vs Messi – but neither are playing, though the latter is on the bench.
Cristiano Ronaldo was too excited to keep seated after watching Aymeric Laporte’s incredible goal on Thursday night
But there are still fireworks with former City centre-back Laporte scoring an outrageous goal from inside his own half.
After being fouled near his own box, the defender spotted Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender miles off his line and went for goal.
In incredible fashion, the ball absolutely sailed into the top corner with the goalkeeper stranded to put Al Nassr 3-0 up after 12 minutes.
Star Cristiano Ronaldo continuously smiled and clapped when home team Al Nassr scored six goals against Inter Miami, the team of rival Lionel Messi.
The Portuguese superstar then sat in the VIP area of the stands, constantly laughing and talking as Al Nassr led 3-0 after only 12 minutes of rolling.
Lionel Messi sat on the bench due to pain before the match, but MLS representatives still had stars Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquet on the field. However, Inter Miami was completely outmatched, only hitting goal three times compared to the home team’s 14 shots. Messi played the last 13 minutes, when Al Nassr led 6-0. He didn’t have much of the ball and mostly walked.
