The powers that be at Getafe have requested for an incident involving Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham to be included in the official match report, on the back of their meeting with Real Madrid.

Getafe and Real, of course, locked horns a short time ago.

The incident occurred after Bellingham’s tackle on the striker 

In their respective games in hand owing to the latter’s participation in the Spanish Suρer Cup, Carlo Ancelotti’s visitors ultimately emerged from the Estadio Coliseum on the right side of a Joselu-inspired 2-0 result.

The aforementioned Jude Bellingham, meanwhile, played a starring role for Los Blancos once more, as he continues to enjoy what has proven a remarkable start to life in Spain.

As alluded to above, though, post-match, the England international could yet find himself in hоt water.

This comes amid claims that Getafe have moved to have an incident involving the midfielder and fellow countryman Mason Greenwood inspected, as part of the referee’s match report.

As per a report from El Larguero, making use of alleged footage of the moment in question:

‘Getafe have notified the La Liga representative present at Getafe vs Real Madrid to ensure Jude Bellingham’s words appear in the match report.’

Though it is as of yet not clear precisely what the Azulones are alluding to, it has been widely speculated by viewers online that Bellingham made use of Greenwood’s past legal troubles to insult the on-loan Manchester United man.

While audio did not pick up Bellingham’s comment, expert witness and forensic lip-reader Jeremy Freeman was able to identify with near-certainty what was said.

He told the Daily Mail: ‘After carefully analysing the clip, I am 97 per cent confident that the spoken word is “rаpist”, particularly when considering the context in which it was used.

‘The visual cues of the lips indicate the presence of the ‘R’ and ‘P’ sounds, and the word appears to end sharply.

‘Additionally, the speaker seems to have a pronounced Brummie accent, which I factored into my interpretation,’ Freeman added.

‘Given the clarity of these visual markers and the absence of any viable alternative interpretation, I am quite certain of this conclusion.’

Bellingham, 20, could be handed a potential suspension as a result if charged and found guilty by La Liga. It remаins unclear if officials will take action.

It must be reiterated, though, that absolutely no confirmation of as much has been forthcoming.

Greenwood left Manchester United in August to join Getafe on a season-long loan deal following the conclusion of an internal club investigation into the player’s conduct.

In January 2022, the striker was charged with attempted rаpe, аssаult and coercive behaviour. All charges were dropped in February 2023. After major backlash from supporters, United opted against reintegrating him back into their squad with the 22-year-old not expected to play for the club again.
