Kyle Walker cut an animated figure as he appeared to take issue with something Neal Maupay said to him during Manchester City’s win at Brentford.
Play was halted when Walker marched over to referee Jarred Gillett before taking a throw-in seemingly furious at the Bees forward.

Gillett then had a conversation with Maupay, who cut a confused figure as he looked back in Walker’s direction.
It’s not clear what was said between the two but City vice-captain Walker was seen being calmed down by Guardiola as the exchange unfolded.
Guardiola wasn’t on hand to shed light on things as when asked about the incident by talkSPORT after the game, he responded: “Nothing happened.”
Meanwhile, when asked about it Brentford boss Thomas Frank said: “No… I haven’t asked him [Maupay].”
Maupay was substituted in stoppage time by Brentford boss Thomas Frank amid more troubles with the French forward. The 27-year-old was also seen speaking to Guardiola after the final whistle was blown.
This is far from the first on-pitch controversy involving Maupay, who got into a spat with James Maddison during Brentford’s defeat at Tottenham last week.
The two were seen having a heated conversation that appeared to be about to turn physical at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after they imitated Maddison’s celebration after Brentford won.
Following the game, Maupay and Maddison traded jabs on social media.
Monday night proved to be successful for City, as they defeated Frank’s team 3-1 to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to just two points.
But they had a rough start as Mark Flekken’s goal kick was not cleared by City, and Maupay scored a nice finish to put Brentford ahead.
Just before the break, Phil Foden equalized the score with a header and a cool-headed left-footed shot, capping a brilliant display from the England international.
