DEVIL POET: Man Utd star Mason Greenwood shows off the OUTSTANDING skill as overcome 2 rivals in Getafe vs Real Betis game

Mason Greenwood won the internet on Sunday, February 4, thanks to a cheeky piece of play during Getafe’s La Liga clash against Real Betis.

At Getafe, Greenwood has established himself as an integral part of José “Pepe” Bordalás’s side, making 22 appearances across all competitions and finding the net seven times.

He was at it again against Betis, as he slotted from the penalty spot using his so-called weaker right foot, per Whoscored.com.

But that was not even the moment of the game, as a video of Greenwood exhibiting some classic wing play delighted fans online.

In a video shared by the club’s official X handle, Getafe got a throw-in deep in opposition territory, with Greenwood receiving the ball on the flanks.

Surrounded by two players and with nowhere else to go, the forward somehow wiggled his way past two Real Betis players before shifting his body and leaving one sprawling on the floor.

He did not stop there, dribbling past one more defender before his cross-shot was parried away by the goalkeeper. The rebound fell to Getafe midfielder Jordi, who somehow failed to score.

Despite taking the lead, Getafe were pegged back in the ill-tempered match as former Real Madrid man Isco also dispatched a perfect penalty in the 35th minute.

The game ended in a 1-1 stalemate, leaving Getafe in 10th place, while two places below Getafe in eighth.

In August 2023, the 22-year-old completed a loan transfer to El Geta as part of an agreement to pursue his career independently of Manchester United, his parent club.

If the England international’s performances in La Liga are any indication, he appears to have moved past the assault accusations and is motivated to restart his career.
