The veteran defender is seen cradling his “little friend” whilst holding a bottle to his mouth.

But even by the Frenchman’s unusual standards—who is becoming something of an Instagram cult—his most recent antics are strange.

‘Good night everyone,’ Evra wrote as a description for the video on his Instagram account. Observe closely how quickly I got up when he stopped sipping his milk—I was really afraid.

‘I love this game ahahahah talking to lion too now… when he stops drinking I said “now it’s my turn”.’

Game? That is certainly not a game, Patrice. And who can blame him for getting the shakes after feeding time?

Although Evra was scared leaving the lion, no harm was done. And many fans will be relieved by that.
