Fans were in stitches when Cody Gakpo, a star for Liverpool, “kicked the wrong ball.”

The Reds secured a crucial three points in the title match by coming back to defeat Luton 4-1.

Cody Gakpo hurt Amari’i Bell with his mistimed swingGakpo scored Liverpool’s second goal to put Jurgen Klopp’s team ahead, but the crowd laughed at something else he did.  As Amari’i Bell closed the distance, Luis Diaz nudged the ball in the direction of the Dutchman.  The ball was moved away from Gakpo by the Luton defender who arrived first on the scene.

However, he had already made the decision to fire, and his ferocious swing caught Bell in close proximity to his genitalia.Fans were in stitches, but Bell might have needed stitches after falling with a scream.

A fan made the jesting statement, “He has kicked the wrong ball.”

Bell quickly got back up and continued playing, but as Liverpool regained their shooting form in the second half, she sustained more bruises.  Harvey Elliott, Gakpo, Luis Diaz, and Virgil van Dijk all scored runs to ensure the victory.With 60 points, Liverpool is now leading the standings, four points ahead of Manchester City and five ahead of Arsenal.

However, they both still have games this weekend, one against Newcastle and the other against Bournemouth.

As for Luton, they are 18th and in the relegation zone on goal difference.

They are tied with Everton on 20 points.
