PLAYER RATINGS: Brilliant Conor Bradley inspires Anfield comeback as injury-ravaged Reds show Dutch courage to stay in control of the title race

Liverpool overcame a deficit to defeat Luton Town 4-1 and move up to the top of the standings by four points.

The Reds entered the game lacking ten players, and Luton’s first goal would have raised questions about whether their injuries would cause them to lose ground in the fight for the championship.

But as this season has so frequently demonstrated, the Reds came alive in the second half.Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott also found the net before Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo scored goals quickly.

Caiomhin Kelleher 6 – Could have done better for Luton’s goal with the initial save but will take confidence from the rest of his performance. With Alisson out, he will be integral to Liverpool’s hopes as Jurgen Klopp’s side compete on four fronts.

Conor Bradley 8 – Turned this game on its head in the second half, with his quick thinking and his technical ability. What a find and what a player. Taken off by Jurgen Klopp in the 68th minute for Andy Robertson, to rest him for the EFL Cup final on Sunday. That shows just how highly he is rated by Klopp and in the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold, he has an immense few weeks ahead.

Jarell Quansah 6 – Another impressive performance from the 21-year-old, who has effortlessly made the step up to the first team.

Virgil van Dijk 7 – Solid, as ever and when Liverpool needed their captain, he headed in emphatically for the equaliser.

Joe Gomez 7 – A word for his versatility, yet again. Shifted to right-back after Bradley went off for Robertson. Another reliable display.

Alexis Mac Allister 7 – Might not get the headlines but after a quiet first half, he provided the assists for Liverpool’s first two goals. First, from the corner before a delightful delivery for Cody Gakpo’s header.

Wataru Endo 7 – Solid. Constantly winning back possession and loved by the Anfield crowd.

Ryan Gravenberch 6 – Didn’t have the best first half and was frustrated by Luton. Much better in the second half. Replaced in the 78th minute for Bobby Clark.
