NOTTINGHAM FOREST defender Felipe escaped a red card despite grabbing Bruno Fernandes around the throat.
Manchester United fans were left fuming by the incident during their FA Cup victory at the City Ground on Wednesday night.

Felipe dodged further punishment after a heated altercation with Fernandes in stoppage time, despite VAR being in operation.
Reacting to the incident on X, one fan wrote: “The @FA_PGMOL have confirmed players are now allowed to grab opponents around the throat.”
Another angry supporter simply added: “Complete joke.”
A third also commented: “Casemiro would have got a six match ban for that.”

Meanwhile, one more fumed: “Remember Casemiro being sent off for exactly the same thing.”
Following a similar incident against Crystal Palace in February 2023, United midfielder Casemiro was sent off.
After grabbing Will Hughes’ neck during a brawl involving players from both teams, the Brazilian was sent off.
But he had a better night on Wednesday, winning an exciting late race.
Fernandes set up Casemiro for his fifth goal of the season in the 89th minute.
United advances to the FA Cup quarterfinals for the seventh time in the previous ten seasons with the 1-0 victory.
But in order to get to the last four, they must defeat Liverpool, the Carabao Cup winners.
The quarterfinal draw has set up a tantalizing matchup between the two rivals at Old Trafford.
