As they both raced after the ball in the box, the City attacker was seen on replay kicking Mac Allister in the chest.
The game ended in a draw after referee Oliver signalled for play to continue and the VAR crew declined to step in.
After the final whistle, a furious Klopp approached Oliver to question him about the contentious judgement.
During the commentary at the time, Manchester United great Gary Neville stated, “I think he’s a lucky, lucky boy.”
Neville went on, “Doku is extremely fortunate.” I believed he was having problems.”
Arsenal now leads the table after an exciting match between the two teams ended without a winner.
City center-back In the first half, Mac Allister’s penalty tied the score after John Stones’ goal put the game ahead.
After the final whistle, Klopp expressed his continued shock, saying, “It was a penalty, 100 percent of the time.”
“They’ll discover a reason. It was a clear foul in every region of the field, and a yellow card was most likely in order.
“Everyone around me who had an iPad exclaimed, ‘Wow, clear.'” They might be able to hide behind the claim that “it is not clear and obvious.”Of course there is a penalty, but it’s okay that we didn’t receive it. For me, the fact that we can play football that way is the most essential thing.
“I saw so many sensational performances today.”
Experts’ opinions
However, Sky pundit Roy Keane disagreed. “Klopp makes a good point about Doku getting the ball, but his foot is so high,” he said to Sky Sports.
“I don’t believe that it is motivated by anything. Thus, I believe the authorities got it correct.”
Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said: “I think he sees Mac Allister coming in and he’s almost trying to pull his foot away. I think if that’s being given on the pitch, it’s not being overturned.
“But he hasn’t completely gone through him once it’s not offered. Klopp says anywhere else on the pitch and that’s a foul. I agree with that, but there is an unwritten rule in football where a penalty has to be a bit more.
“When it’s in the box, it has to be a little bit more. He’s lucky but I can see why he’s not given it.”
