Diallo has been limited to just three first-team appearances this season after returning from a knee injury in December.

He was once again an unused substitute on Saturday as United beat Everton at Old Trafford.

His X bio now reads “this will all end” in French, with his profile picture and cover photos now snaps of Diallo on loan at Sunderland last season.

Just one post remains since his return to United last summer, a changing room video with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo from Saturday.

academyarena Utd on X: "Our wing positions could be sorted for a long time. Alejandro Garnacho, LW, 18-years-old. Amad Diallo, RW, 20-years-old. I know I've seen this kind of tweet so many

Meanwhile, he has deleted all but three posts from his Instagram feed.

The three remaining snaps are all from his time with the Black Cats last term.

They include one of him kissing the Sunderland badge and another of him celebrating a goal at the Stadium of Light.

Diallo scored 14 goals and provided four assists for Sunderland last season as they made the Championship play-offs.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano later posted a tweet apparently quoting Diallo.

It read: “I’ve deactivated my social media for a month just to focus on Ramadan. Stop the hatred, there’s nothing wrong with what I did.

“It’s holy month for me and social media is a place where there are bad things to see during fasting.”

Given the uncertainty surrounding his future at United, he had been linked to a January loan return to the team.

The 21-year-old did not, however, leave the Red Devils before to the transfer deadline.

Since then, Diallo has been connected to loan moves to Watford and Birmingham for the summer.

The Ivorian’s contract with United expires in a year, and the team has the option to extend it by an additional year.
