The second of two limited-edition capsule collections that Liverpool FC and Converse have partnered on is set to release later this month.
This new capsule collection combines the distinct styles of contemporary football supporters from around the world with the rich legacy of Liverpool FC.
The colours, typography, and architecture of Liverpool FC served as inspiration for the Autumn Holiday 23 Liverpool FC x Converse collection.
The inaugural capsule collection, produced in limited quantities, was a tribute to the club’s passionate supporters. The second line of the Liverpool FC x Converse partnership honours Anfield songs and Liverpool FC supporters while also celebrating the club’s remarkable past and promising future.
In the associated campaign “Creating from the Ground Up,” Converse offered a platform for the firm to collaborate with LFC fans on the production of the advertisement, signifying the transition from concept to execution.
Converse Western’s vice president and general manager, Steven Bramble, stated, “We are overjoyed to announce the introduction of the FH23 collection and campaign. It carries on the success story of the Liverpool FC x Converse partnership by paying homage to the club’s rich heritage and displaying the extraordinary inventiveness of LFC fans.
“As a logical development from ‘Creating from The Ground Up,’ the campaign celebrates, encourages, and allows creativity in all of its forms through the creative work of LFC fans.”
Mike Cox, senior vice president of marketing at Liverpool FC, said, “We are very excited about the second collection in cooperation with Converse.” We now have the opportunity to offer our fans something fresh and exciting thanks to our partnership with the brand. The extra benefit is that we get to highlight each fan’s unique talents, which is always appreciated.
The campaign features singer/songwriter Pixey, artist Sterling Rose Kelly, multi-disciplinary creative Dredz, and members of the men’s and women’s teams, Darwin Nunez, Missy Bo Kearns, and Taylor Hinds. Every participant has always supported Liverpool.
Homotopia, an LGBT+ arts and social justice organisation with a base in Liverpool and a social and community impact partner of Converse, has worked with Sterling, Pixey, and Dredz to steer the campaign’s creative direction.
Up until 2023, Converse will keep funding Young Homotopia’s Creative Skills initiative. A few Homotopia musicians who support LFC are Kolade, Olivia Graham, Margie Houlston, Sian Bennett, and DJ Lauren Lo Sung.
This creative strategy perfectly captures the spirit of the Liverpool FC x Converse relationship, which unites fans working to create a more diverse, inclusive, and creative football community.
