Every game is different. Growing up in one of Colombia’s poorest areas, Luis Diaz talks about how early trauma prepared him for his amazing Liverpool debut.
Because Diaz had a “tough night” when his parents were abducted, he was left off the Liverpool roster.
Liverpool’s winger Luis Diaz said he views every game as an opportunity to get back at people for everything that has taken so long to happen to him in his career.
Seeing the coal trains pass by his small community of Barrancas, where the coal was largely headed for Europe, was one of his fondest childhood memories.
A few years later, he had no idea that he would have to overcome the same obstacles and radically upend the football world.
When asked where he got his confidence, Diaz said, “In La Guajira,” on the UEFA YouTube channel. Its roots are in my family tree. I’ve played football in my hometown and community my entire life.
These are my traits; they have influenced a great deal of the traits I currently have, and as a result, I have grown considerably more. I enjoy to play in this way.
“I view every game as a challenge because I have to play with every second I have, I know there are costs involved, and I’m constantly trying to improve.”
“What happened first determines what happens next.”
Colombians maintain that the All Football World Cup qualification should be canceled until Luis Diaz’s father is freed.
