DAVID DE GEA went to see Bruno Fernandes, a star for Manchester United, and made fun of their former colleague.

After spending 12 years at Old Trafford, the unemployed goalkeeper’s contract expired last summer, leaving him without a club.

De Gea spent time with his old friend Fernandes while he was back in Manchester.

The Spaniard put his hand around the Red Devils skipper as the two sat with their arms crossed, posing for pictures.

The images were shared on social media by De Gea, who wrote the phrase, “Dumb and Dumber.”

With a funny remark, Fernandes said, “Is missing the biggest dumbest Juan Mata.”

After being called out, the former midfielder for Chelsea and Manchester United continued the fun by responding with a GIF from the Dumb and Dumber film.

Rumor has it that De Gea has been approached by Barcelona, Nottingham Forest, and clubs in Saudi Arabia about rejoining the game.

Nevertheless, since none of these ideas have materialized, the 33-year-old remains a free agent.

De Gea has been enjoying himself when he’s not playing. Along for the ride are his three-year-old daughter Yanay and his 38-year-old spouse, singer Edurne.

He has also occasionally gone out with his former Manchester United teammates.

In October, De Gea enjoyed dinner with Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane, Fernandes, and Tom Heaton.

Due to his departure from Japanese team Vissel Kobe at the beginning of the season, Mata, 35, is also unrestricted.
