Man Utd stars were training today in preparation for Saturday’s clash against Bournemouth.

As the rain fell at Carrington, Mainoo and Garnacho wrapped up in hats and gloves.

But Scholes was incensed by the teenagers’ choice to put their hoods up.

He posted a photo of the duo and raged on Instagram: “Don’t mind hats and gloves but no way can you train properly with your hood up.

“Standards begin on the training pitch… bye!”

Despite their training ground looks, both youngsters have been bright sparks in a poor season for the Red Devils.

With his sudden rise to prominence this year, Mainoo has already pushed his way into the England team in time for Euro 2024.

Furthermore, Garnacho has scored nine goals in all competitions; only Rasmus Hojlund has scored more.

Man Utd has a steep hill to climb in order to qualify for the Champions League the next season, and pressure is building on Erik ten Hag.

They are 11 points behind Aston Villa in fifth place and Tottenham in fourth.
