According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool is allegedly considering signing RB Leipzig standout Dani Olmo this summer. 

Following a great nine-year tenure, Jurgen Klopp left the Reds, and the team has chosen Arne Slot to take over as manager. Therefore, it will be very challenging for the former Feyenoord manager to duplicate Klopp’s achievements at Anfield. 

However, it is said that the club’s management intends to keep up its activity in the transfer market to provide the Dutchman enough resources to contend for the title every year. 

With Joel Matip’s departure, Liverpool is reportedly prioritising bolstering its defence, but they also appear to be trying to add a new holding midfielder, as they have been connected to a few players in recent weeks. 

Olmo has emerged as a top target for the Merseyside club, who it appears are also planning a raid to acquire a new forward. The Spaniard is “prepared to make the leap” this summer, and Liverpool is apparently planning to entice him.

The 26-year-old previously stated that, should the opportunity present itself this summer, he would be willing to take on a new challenge in his career. However, for the foreseeable future, he will be concentrating on competing in the European Championship. 

He declared: 

“I’m not ruling out any possibilities, but let me give you a cliché: my attention is on the opening game of the Euro Cup.”

Liverpool, who are now vying for Olmo, may therefore be able to hire him if they make a bid; his estimated price is £50.5 million. 

But according to MD, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United are also interested in acquiring him; as a result, Liverpool will need to close this transaction as soon as possible in order to defeat their bitter rivals in this race.
