BRIGHT FUTURE!!!Dominik Szoboszlai making history: He’s now the youngest captain in the history of the European Championship

In the encounter against Switzerland, Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai made tournament history by donning the captain’s armband.

The first game of EURO 2024 will pit the Hungarian national team against the Swiss national team. Both teams fielded their strongest players for this encounter. Coach Marco Rossi gave midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai the captain’s armband for the Hungarian national team, and he started the game.
Szoboszlai thus made his official debut in the annals of EURO competitions. At 23 years, 7 months, and 21 days, the Liverpool star thus made history as the youngest captain of the European Championship.

Starting in November 2022, Szoboszlai will lead the Hungarian squad as captain. When he wore the captain’s armband at the age of 22, this midfielder also set a record for the Hungarian national team. The Liverpool midfielder set a new personal record at this year’s EURO.

Szoboszlai recently stated at a news conference: “I found out a few days ago that I will be the youngest captain in EURO history.

.

It is a wonderful honour for me, and I want to express my gratitude to Marco Rossi for believing in me and allowing me to lead the squad to the European Championship.”

ImageSzoboszlai is the Hungarian team’s talisman as well as their leader. Every one of their attacks needs to pass via the feet of a Liverpool employee who is a star. Because he thought it best suited Szoboszlai, Coach Rossi gave him a role of freedom of movement.

“I believe Dominik is acknowledged as the team leader on this one. Not just because he is a leader, but also because of his abilities and particularly his standing on the pitch. Dominik is one of several players who, in our more flexible brand of football, is free to move wherever he feels he can,” head coach Rossi remarked.

That day, Szoboszlai became a historical figure, the Hungarian squad did not play very well, though. Hungary had to give up two goals in the first half of their match against Switzerland. For his part, Szoboszlai struggled over the opening forty-five minutes.
