Victoria and David Beckham stepped back into their now-iconic wedding attire for a playful Instagram photo ahead of their 25th anniversary on Thursday.

The designer, 50, and professional player, 49, married in Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland in 1999 in a grandiose ceremony that cost about £1 million.

The pair wore their identical purple gowns from the reception and perched on their infamous gold thrones.

Ageless Victoria looked stunning in the Antonio Berardi gown, which featured a floral ruffled top and daring split, and she paired it with quirky heels.

Meanwhile, David looked great in his suit and matching suede shoes, and he smiled broadly as he grasped his wife’s hand.

The couple, who have sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12, captioned the combined image, ‘Look what we found’.

David had previously joked about the look during a 2017 appearance on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs. I even had a purple top hat; what was I thinking? I looked like the men from Dumb and Dumber.’

Victoria wore more reserved champagne. The bride wore a Vera Wang gown to the wedding, and the groom dressed in a white suit.

During a 2021 interview on Jimmy Fallon, she explained the clothing change, saying, “It just seemed like a really good idea at the time, you know?”

‘It actually did. I believe it was naiveté at the time; we knew nothing about fashion.

David arrived in a £230,000 Bentley Azure wearing a cream suit made by Timothy Everett, while Victoria wore a Vera Wang dress and drove in a Bentley Arnage.

She drew attention in a diamond-and-gold crown custom-made by Slim Barrett, who had previously designed accessories for Princess Diana.
