A stunning video has surfaced, with Lamine Yamal scoring a goal against the French U17 team the previous year that was virtually exactly the same as his spectacular goal in the Euros semifinal—if not better.
The 16-year-old’s incredible goal against Kylian Mbappe’s France made him the youngest goalscorer in Euro history.

After eight minutes, Randal Kolo Muani gave his country the lead, but his goal brought Spain level.
But Yamal, who had been excellent all tournament long but had not yet scored at the Euros, answered emphatically.
The teenage Barcelona forward dummied the ball outside of France’s area, then used his left foot to cut inside and curl a stunning shot into the upper corner of the net.
At 16 years and 362 days, he became the youngest goal scorer in the history of the Euros.
Additionally, a video that appeared on X demonstrates the winger’s past success in scoring that precise goal.
Remarkably, that happened in the semi-final of the under-17 European Championship versus France last year.
In the video, the winger can be seen dummying his way inside before launching a rasping shot into the upper left corner of France’s goal.
Yamal was Barcelona’s first-choice right-winger for the whole previous season.

However, given his youth, his performance in this tournament has still caught me off guard.
He has surpassed former record holder Johan Vonlanthen, who was 18 years and 141 days old when he scored for Switzerland at the 2004 European Championship, thanks to his goal in the semifinal match against France.
The fact that he learned while at the Euros that he had passed the equivalent of Spain’s GCSEs arguably best sums up his youthfulness.
After pictures of Lionel Messi bathing Lamine Yamal as a baby for a charity calendar surfaced, many people conjectured that the winger’s future as a famous football player was predetermined.
Some made light of it by joking that Messi had “baptised” Yamal.
Spain defeated England 2-1 thanks to a goal by Lamal, guaranteeing they would face Holland or England in the Berlin final.
