ERASE THE PAST: Jadon Sancho beams as returns to Man Utd training for first time after Ten Hag agrees to end the conflict

JADON SANCHO is back training with Manchester United for the first time in 10 months.

The winger and manager Erik ten Hag held positive talks this week – agreeing to draw a line under their past differences.

Sancho was given an extended break after featuring in the Champions League final on loan for his old club Borussia Dortmund.

But he is now in full training with United’s senior squad at Carrington.

The 24-year-old will NOT travel to Norway for the club’s friendly against Rosenberg on Monday.

But that’s because his pre-season has started later than his team-mates.

United are focused on getting the 23-cap Englishman up to speed.

The Red Devils revealed that Sancho “returned for testing” on Wednesday.

He then “trained with the group on Thursday”.

United also confirmed that other big names like Andre Onana, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford have been back in the swing of things at Carrington this week.

Last September, after Sancho was benched for a Premier League match against Arsenal, Ten Hag and the player fell out.

In response to the Dutchman’s allegations that the wideman had been receiving inadequate training, Sancho said on social media that he had been “a scapegoat for a long time.”

In 2021, Ten Hag froze the £73 million signing from Dortmund, and he hasn’t shown regret for his outburst in public.

In January, Sancho was eventually loaned back to his former German squad.

And he bounced back from his setback so well that he was even called up for a Three Lions recall, albeit it was expected that he would not make Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
