Luis Suarez was in tears when Uruguay were trailing to Canada in the stoppage time of the Copa America third-place match.

18 seconds later, the striker made things level to send the game into the penalty shootout!

The 37-year-old proceeded to score the last penalty kick in the shootout for his squad. With Uruguay making every attempt and Canada missing two, Marcelo Bielsa’s team won the bronze medal in the Copa America.

This was Suarez’s only goal at the tournament – he stepped up when it really mattered.

Ronald Araujo was also part of the bronze-winning squad.
