Dominik Szoboszlai has stated that having a Steven Gerrard tattoo on his body was one of the reasons he decided to wear No. 8 for Liverpool.

Many of Liverpool’s recent acquisitions look up to Gerrard because of his successes as the team’s captain, especially in Istanbul.
Szoboszlai also got a tattoo that said, “Talent is a divine blessing, but without incredible will and humility, it is worth nothing,” because the well-known midfielder so greatly influenced him.
When the 22-year-old initially came at Anfield, LFCTV asked him about his feelings about donning the No. 8 jersey.
For many of Liverpool’s new signings, Gerrard is a role model because of his accomplishments as the team’s captain, especially in Istanbul.
Further evidence of Szoboszlai’s inspiration from the famous midfielder was a tattoo he had on his back that said, “Talent is a divine blessing, but without incredible will and humility, it is worth nothing.”
When he first came at Anfield, the 22-year-old was questioned by LFCTV about his feelings over donning the No. 8 jersey.
He said, “Oh, I see,” to which I replied, “Not [for] a special reason, but of course it’s a great number.”
This jersey number has been worn by many distinguished athletes.
In addition, Steven Gerrard’s name is tattooed on me. What he said was before, but I can’t quite put it in time. It was an additional factor.
Before Gerrard, the No. 8 jersey was worn by Emile Heskey, Oyvind Leonhardsen, Jamie Redknapp, Stan Collymore, and Paul Stewart throughout the Premier League era.
It looks that Szoboszlai was greatly inspired to create this by the well-known 43-year-old of today.
