Florian Wirtz has been shining this season with his creativity and skillful dribbling. The 20-year-old has scored 17 goals and added 19 assists in 44 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen since the start of the season.

At just 20 years old, the German star has shown his maturity in playing. Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are all interested in Wirtz.

Few people know that Arsenal once discovered Wirtz’s great potential, but unfortunately the pursuit failed.

Former Arsenal scout Yousuf Sajjad revealed: “There was a period when Wirtz was at Cologne and Arsenal were interested when he was coming to the end of his contract. You could see his quality but he had a few injuries that season.

But moving to Arsenal was not something he wanted at the time. Education is quite important in Germany and he had to finish his studies.

Then he joined Leverkusen and it really paid off. Now he can be signed by any club in the world.”
