Robert Lewandowski continued to assert his importance to Barcelona, ​​breaking legendary Johan Cruyff’s goalscoring record despite playing nearly half as many matches.

However, what is more remarkable is that with these two goals, Lewandowski has officially surpassed the scoring record of legendary Johan Cruyff at Barcelona.

In just 96 games for Barcelona, ​​Lewandowski has scored a total of 61 goals. This has surpassed Johan Cruyff’s record of 60 goals – which took him 180 games over five seasons to achieve. This shows the Polish striker’s incredible scoring efficiency, as he only needed nearly half the number of games as Cruyff to break this record.

Despite both being excellent players, Johan Cruyff and Robert Lewandowski had different roles and playing styles on the pitch. Cruyff was known as a versatile ‘number 14’, often coordinating play from different positions on the pitch.
