Cristiano Ronaldo is launching a YouTube channel
UR will feature the veteran superstar footballer
Cristiano Ronaldo received his golden play button the day he started his YouTube channel.
And with his football career fizzling out at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, the Portuguese icon has announced plans to get in front of the camera.
Ronaldo’s UR YouTube channel features his own signature logo – with the UR looking like his initials CR followed by a play button.
According to AlJazeera The Portuguese footballer’s launch broke the world record for fastest YouTube channel to hit one million subscribers.
Previously, Ronaldo was said to have been banned by Youtube from creating his own channel. The reason is believed to be that the platform is afraid that a large number of fans and viewers will flock to Ronaldo’s channel, affecting the platform’s finances.
With a large number of fans around the world, the possibility that CR7 will win the diamond, ruby or red diamond button is not too difficult to understand. Currently, this player’s Instagram page has more than 636 million followers.
If only 1/6 of these fans click Subscribe on Ronaldo’s new youtube channel, he will win the Red Diamond button – the reward for the youtube channel with the most subscribers to date (100 million subscribers).
Currently, Ronaldo has more than 10 million subscribers.
And in a minute-long advert, he appeared in high spirits, laughing throughout the promo.
Ronaldo said in the voiceover: “I have a big surprise for you, the new YouTube channel.”
The clip then showed various highlights which fans can look forward to, including Ronaldo playing games with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, behind-the-scenes content, practising his trademark celebration and taking on challenges.
He also promised to give an insight into his family, education and businesses – as well as interviewing “surprising” guests.
Ronaldo said: “I am very happy to make this project come to life.
“It has been in my mind for a long time but finally we have the opportunity to make it real.
“I have always enjoyed having such a strong relationship with fans on social media and my YouTube channel will give me an even bigger platform to do so and they will learn more about me, my family, and my views on many different subjects.
“I am also looking forward to sharing conversations with guests that will no doubt surprise people!”
The channel went live on Wednesday afternoon, with the bio telling fans to “SIUUUbscribe and join the CR7 family”.
Immediately, nine videos were uploaded.
They included ‘Meet Georgina’, a free-kick challenge with his son and a ‘This or That’ video where he had to choose between Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods as well as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Then, after a little while, Cristiano and Georgina appeared in a Mr. & Mrs. Quiz.
Additionally, they both wore rings on their ring fingers and alluded to formally announcing his marriage to the stunning Spanish model by referring to her as his “wife”.
Ronaldo owns a network of CR7 hotels, two hair transplant clinics, and a new YouTube channel in addition to his rich £175 million-a-year contract with Al-Nassr.
