Ronaldo is looking to leave Saudi Arabia, and the first club he wants to return to is his childhood team.

Cristiano Ronaldo deserves a better club than Al Nassr, that is something the public can easily see. The owner of 5 Ballon d’Or titles has tried his best, but his club has no title.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored again, like a programmed machine and did not need to stop. However, Al Nassr Club has not won 2 consecutive matches. These are clearly results that CR7 cannot be satisfied with.

Ronaldo scores in Al Nassr’s opening match of the new Saudi Pro League season

In the Saudi Arabia Super Cup, Ronaldo opened the scoring, Al Nassr led until the end of the first half. However, within just 18 minutes of the second half, Al Nassr received 4 goals and missed out on the first title of the new season.

As they embarked on their journey to conquer the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo continued to open the scoring in the 34th minute. But despite having home field advantage and the opponent being only Al Raed, the team ranked 12th out of 18 last season, Al Nassr was still held to a 1-1 draw.

Including the goal against Al Raed, Ronaldo has now scored 67 goals in just 73 games for Al Nassr. That is an achievement that few players have achieved, even in Europe, let alone in Saudi Arabia. However, in the past 3 years, Ronaldo has not been able to touch an official title.

3 years CR7 without a title, easily sad when looking at Neymar

The last time Ronaldo lifted an official trophy was the 2021 Coppa Italia with Juventus. It has been 3 years since a player with a winning spirit like CR7 ended up with nothing. Even if he had to leave Europe and go to Saudi Arabia to “lie”, the owner of 5 Golden Ball titles still hopes to have a title.

A little comparison to see the injustice. For nearly a year, Neymar Junior has hardly played. He has only played 5 matches for Al Hilal, scoring exactly 1 goal, but up to now he has been counted as having 5 titles. Looking at Neymar, CR7 will surely feel sad.

Should Ronaldo return to Europe?

Former assistant Rene Meulensteen, Ronaldo’s former teacher at MU , urged his former student to leave Al Nassr and return to Europe to play. Sir Alex’s assistant coach worked with Ronaldo for 2 years. He clearly understood the talent of the Portuguese superstar.

“It would be romantic if Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Europe. He should finish his career here, in a top football environment . I think it would be good for many reasons, if Ronaldo returned to Europe. One place for CR7 to return, perhaps Sporting Lisbon,” Meulensteen suggested.

Assessing Ronaldo’s current ability, Rene Meulensteen added: “Of course, Ronaldo himself needs to understand that he is no longer the player he used to be. He is no longer the 28-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo. But with his class, he can still play an important role in many aspects if he returns to play football in Europe.”

Cristiano Ronaldo still has time to leave Al Nassr, as the summer transfer window in Saudi Arabia lasts until October 6. However, CR7 will have to give up his salary, bonuses and other great benefits. According to Goal, Ronaldo is the highest-paid player in the world with a total salary, bonuses and other income reaching 200 million euros per season.
