Close-up David Beckham’ vintage Jaguar that Man Utd legend give for son Brooklyn in his wedding – The ROYAL car was completed by 120 people

David Beckham has bought his son Brooklyn a $500,000 (£383,502) car following his eldest child’s wedding to Nicola Peltz on Saturday (9 April).

While it might seem excessive, David’s half-a-mill prezzie in the wake of his son’s £3million Florida nuptials is probably the Beckham version of the £50 M&S voucher most people get off their parents after tying the knot.

The wedding gift is a 1954 Jaguar XK140 that David had re-engineered and electrified for his son and daughter-in-law, and the newly-weds wasted no time taking their new set of wheels for a spin.

Brooklyn, 23, and Nicola, 27, were seen in new photos cruising around the £71million Palm Beach estate owned by the Transformers actors’ parents on Sunday morning.

David enlisted the help of restoration company Lunaz – in which he has a 10 percent stake – for the swish car’s revamp.

Thousands of hours of work went into Brooklyn and Nicola’s new whip, which was built in-house at Lunaz’s Silverstone garage.

A team of 120 worked on the project and David asked that the finishing product be painted a light shade of blue, but as MailOnline reports – ‘requested his name for the unique colour remain confidential’.

Of the project, David Lorenz, Founder & CEO of Lunaz, told Auto Futures: “In creating this beautiful, electrified Jaguar XK140, we are honoured to bridge the gap between David Beckham’s professional life, where he is an investor in Lunaz and his family life.

“This remarkable car is the perfect gift to his son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law, on their wedding day. In every respect, this extraordinary electric classic car by Lunaz symbolises a bright, positive future.”

News of David’shedding a tear’ during his emotional speech at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding circulated, but if images of that stunning Jag are any indication, he may have simply been upset that he had to give the motor away and was not allowed to keep it for himself.

At the Peltz family’s £76 million beachside house, Brooklyn and Nicola exchanged vows, and football player David, who is reportedly quite emotional, couldn’t contain his tears, according to The Sun.

An insider said: “David’s speech went on for about five minutes and he looked to shed a tear at one point.

“He was talking about when Brooklyn was born and how he wanted to protect him.

“He said he was sleeping on the hospital floor, holding the door shut because he didn’t want to let anyone get in.

“David got a lump in his throat and had to stop and take a breather to regain his composure, but it was a very sweet speech.”
