According to a report by the Guardian, Chelsea will join the race for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala with Man City.
Musiala is one of the hottest young prospects in European football after joining Bayern Munich, becoming the youngest player to make his Bundesliga debut at the age of 17 years and 115 days. The 21-year-old midfielder was a star player at Chelsea’s academy before moving to Germany five years ago.
Musiala is coveted by many clubs.
Chelsea are keen to bring Musiala back to Stamford Bridge , while Man City are also interested in the young England star , according to The Guardian.
Musiala’s current contract with Bayern runs until 2026. To get him, teams have to pay extremely high fees, given Musiala’s talent and importance to the Bundesliga club.
Either way, Man City or Chelsea could take advantage of Bayern’s current situation, with coach Thomas Tuchel leaving at the end of the season and the club’s 11-year Bundesliga title winning streak ended by Bayer Leverkusen.
Musiala has scored 12 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season and will play a key role in Germany’s EURO 2024 campaign, despite being a member of the Three Lions’ youth team.
