Dani Olmo is set to undergo tests on Monday after being taken off in the second half of Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Girona in La Liga on Sunday.
The summer signing scored a brilliant goal in the win, taking his tally to three in three games since he returned to the club.
However, he went off before the end and looking to be walking gingerly as he went off and took his place on the bench.
Hansi Flick was asked about Olmo after the game and said the forward would need to undergo tests.
He told reporters: “We have to wait and see tomorrow, our doctor takes care of him and we will see. We are not sure. Hopefully it’s not heavy, but I can’t say anything else.”
Olmo came back early from international duty with Spain after taking a hefty knock to his knee but it seems it’s a different issue this time around.
Early reports suggest that it’s a hamstring issue for Olmo, making him a doubt for Barcelona’s next game on Thursday against Monaco in the Champions League.
It does not look to be a serious issue and we should hopefully get an update on his condition on Monday.
