According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport,” Barcelona president Joan Laporta has asked coach Hans-Dieter Flick to help finalize a deal for German star Joshua Kimmich, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires next summer. This move is part of Barcelona’s strategy to strengthen their midfield with a world-class player. Kimmich, known for his extensive experience and exceptional skills, is seen as an ideal candidate. The close relationship between Flick and Kimmich from their time together at Bayern Munich is also expected to aid in the negotiation process.

 

Laporta hopes that the strong relationship between Flick and Kimmich could make it easier to persuade Kimmich to join Barcelona. As one of the top players in his position globally and a key figure for both Bayern Munich and the German national team, signing Kimmich would be a significant strategic move to bolster Barcelona’s squad for the next season.
