In the early morning of September 18, Man United had a resounding 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the English League Cup (Carabao Cup).

Coach Erik ten Hag kept only 3 names in the starting lineup of Man United in the match against Southampton when welcoming Barnsley in the English League Cup in the early morning of September 18.

They are Diogo Dalot, Eriksen, Rashford. And 2 of these 3 players scored to help the Red Devils advance.

Rashford opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Anthony made it 2-0 with a penalty in the 35th minute. The first half ended with a score of 3-0 for Man United with Garnacho’s goal in the second minute of injury time.

Both first-half scorers Rashford and Garnacho doubled their tally in the second half. In this half, Man United scored two more goals, all thanks to Eriksen with a brace of assists from Bruno Fernandes.

The 7-0 win over Barnsley was Man United’s biggest win under Erik ten Hag.

This is also the first match that rookie Ugarte started from the beginning.

Meanwhile, Rashford seems to have regained his confidence and scoring touch with his third goal in two matches.

Besides, young talent Garnacho continued to have outstanding performances when given the opportunity.
