Thanks to a strike from Christian Pulisic, Liverpool was behind. The visitors came together and scored three goals apiece through Dominik Szoboszlai, Virgil van Dijk, and Ibrahima Konate.

Liverpool began their Champions League League Phase campaign with confidence as a result of this outcome. But Milan, under Paulo Fonseca, still has a lot of work ahead of them.

Gravenberch was chosen as the game’s Player of the Match by the UEFA panellists. The Dutch midfielder was credited with helping Liverpool win all three points at San Siro.

It was noted that Gravenberch completed four passes into the latter third of the opposition’s territory. With a pass accuracy of up to 90%, he was also able to manage the speed of the game.

As Liverpool’s defensive midfielder, Gravenberch had an outstanding performance with six interceptions, one sweep, one tackle, and ten ball recoveries.
