Cristiano Ronaldo successfully converted a penalty to help Al Nassr win 3-0 against Al Ettifaq in round 4 of the Saudi Pro League in the early morning of September 21.
Having to play away at Al Ettifaq, Al Nassr was stuck in the first 30 minutes of the match. In the 32nd minute, center back Abdullah Madu fouled the visiting defender Sultan Al Ghannam in the penalty area, causing the referee to award a penalty to Al Nassr.

On the penalty spot, Ronaldo took a shot right into the middle of the goal, fooling Al Ettifaq’s goalkeeper to open the scoring.
After scoring against Al Ettifaq, Ronaldo had a special celebration with his son Ronaldo Jr. The Portuguese star raised three fingers towards his son sitting in the stands to show the number of goals the father and son scored in one day. Not long before, Ronaldo Jr. scored a double for the Al Nassr youth team.
Ronaldo also marked his 902nd career goal and 165th from 195 penalty kicks.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the player with the most goals in football history. The 39-year-old superstar is still working hard every day to reach 1,000 goals in his career.
In 2024, Ronaldo scored 29 goals in 35 appearances for Al Nassr and the Portuguese national team. If he maintains his current high form, the 1,000-goal milestone is completely within Ronaldo’s reach.
The game became easier for Al Nassr after the Portuguese star’s goal. Salem Al-Najdi and Talisca then scored in the second half in the 56th and 70th minutes of the match to help the visitors win with a final score of 3-0.
Coach Stefano Pioli had an impressive debut as coach of Al Nassr. With this victory, Ronaldo and his teammates temporarily ranked 4th in the Saudi Pro League, behind Al Ettifaq by one point.
In the next match, Al Nassr will continue to be a guest at Al Hazm’s field in the 1/16 round of King Cup at 23:35 on September 23.
