Wojciech SzczΔsny has confirmed heβs willing to talk to Barcelona about a possible move afterΒ Marc-Andre ter Stegen was ruled out with a knee injury.
TheΒ Poland international has emerged as Barcaβs top targetΒ to come in for Ter Stegen, and heβs now spoken to Sport about the rumors of a possible move.
βI respect BarΓ§aβs history a lot; It is one of the best clubs in the world. I understand the difficult situation that has been generated for them after the injury of Marc-AndrΓ© Ter Stegen and I think it would be disrespectful of me not to consider this option,β he said.
SzczΔsny retired in the summer but appears to be willing to make a comeback and help out Barcelona at a difficult time.
Yet itβs not quite as easy as all that. Itβs also being widely reported that Szczesny terminated his contract with previous club Juventus a year early.
Juventus are therefore due a fee if he does come out of retirement to play again, meaning negotiations will be needed before he can head to Catalunya.
