Barcelona are in the market for two new midfielders in the summer. The priority is to sign a top pivot midfielder to fill the void left by Sergio Busquets last year. Along with that, the Catalans are also looking to add another interior.
Several players like Aleix Garcia and Amadou Onana have been linked with a move to Barça in the summer, while the Catalans remain attentive to any market opportunities that might arise.
As such, it was suggested that Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot had popped up on the radars of the Blaugrana once again.
Rabiot offered to Barcelona
Now, a fresh update from Adrian Sanchez claims that Barcelona have been offered the services of Adrien Rabiot via an intermediary.
As per the report, Barça had been given the opportunity to sign the 28-year-old Juventus star last year and now the same intermediary has presented them with the same chance a few weeks ago.
Rabiot is a player that the reigning La Liga champions have admired for a long time and tried to sign him in 2019, when he left PSG for free. But it was not to be.
Now, though, the French midfielder will see his contract at Juventus expire at the end of the season, and an exit in the summer could be on the cards.
Rabiot is a player that could fit Barça’s requirements, given his experience, quality, versatility, and the fact that he will be a free agent in the summer.
Whether they take up the opportunity to land him for free, however, remains to be seen.
