Lionel Messi could feature in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as Inter Miami accept an invitation to participate as a FIFA guest.

 

From 2025, the FIFA Club World Cup will be played in a new format with 32 participating teams. FIFA will organize this tournament every 4 years instead of annually.

The US professional soccer league will be represented at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by the Seattle Sounders, the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League champions.

In addition, the host US will be given the priority of having one more team participating as a guest of FIFA. And certainly the US Soccer Association will choose Inter Miami because this team has Messi . The presence of Messi will of course increase the image value of the US Major League as well as the FIFA Club World Cup.
